Adding a wireless router

When setting up a wireless router . . .

Option A
Your best bet is to follow the unique instructions that came with your wireless router keeping the following in mind.

Do not replace our D-Link router -- treat this as your cable or DSL modem.

Your directions will usually only refer to a Cable or DSL internet connection. When asked what type of connection choose "DSL".

Option B
If you have no directions with your router please follow these general instructions. (This assumes that the router had not been configured yet.)

1. Plug the Internet port (or WAN) of the Wireless router into port 1,2,3 or 4 of your Maxwire router.

That is it!

Note: It is also recommended to plug any "wired" computers or devices into the ports on your wireless router as well.
